Susan Hinsley

M. Elizabeth Yarbrough earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and her Juris Doctor (JD) from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis in 2001.  She was the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence as well as the CALI Award for her work in the Child Advocacy Legal Clinic and the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic.  She was licensed and Georgia in 2001 and practiced in Atlanta for two years prior to obtaining her license to practice law in Tennessee in 2003.

Beth concentrates her practice in the area of family law including divorce and legal separation, post-divorce enforcement and modifications, child custody, child support, relocations, dependency and neglect, juvenile court matters, adoption, qualified domestic relations orders (QDROs), prenuptial/ postnuptial agreements, collaborative divorce and mediation.

Beth is trained as a Family Law Mediator and General Civil Mediator and has completed Collaborative Divorce training.  She is listed with the Supreme Court of Tennessee as a Family Law Mediator pursuant to TRSC Rule 31 and has a pending application for listing as a General Civil Mediator.  Through both of these alternative dispute resolution processes she assists parties in resolving their divorce or other family law related matters in the hopes that they may avoid a costly and painful litigation process.

Beth is a member of the Memphis Bar Association, as well as the Family Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Bankruptcy and Small Firm sections of that organization.  She is admitted to practice in all counties in Tennessee and the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.
